yay... i am back blogging again :)

friday: OG BBQ. Busy preparing(buying+marinating) food and BBQing stuff. Thank God I still had some time to interact with my OG group. overall the whole thing was ok lor.

Saturday: hmm... at 5.30am, my parents and i saw my brother Gerald off to USA at the Changi airport T2... for some robotics exchange and competition. for 10 days. then he never wave to us goodbye when he went into the area for passengers (forgot the name of the place) one... lol. Guess i will miss him? lol.

later on... youth meeting... still on the topic of temptation...

well, we discussed on the 'assignment' that bro kian heng gave us last week (which i had totally forgotten although i blogged about it! lol.) well, if any of u audiences had forgotten about it, we were told to find out why David fell into the 'women' temptation but not Joseph. hmm... well, i 2nd Samuel 12:1, it sort of say that it happened at a time when kings were supposed to go out to battle but King David remained in Jerusalem. That's one reason why. cos if he had went out for battle, then the tempter (aka Satan) will not have the opportunity to use Bathsheba to make David sin. Also, as seen through the previous 3 chapters of 2nd Samuel, King David had killed thousands of people in the battlefield, making a name for himself. Perhaps, it was because of this and the fact that he was at the peak of his success, he kind of weaken his defense against Satan and allowed him to tempt David to sin... while on the other hand, Joseph was not in a very good condition (under the 'control' of portiphar) as compared to David, and that Joseph did not have 'everything' under his control like David, that's why Satan's women tactics did not work well on Joseph (we must also not forget that Joseph was very focused on God and that God was with him wherever he was, hence when he faced portiphar's wife and her temptations daily, he did not give in and fled when the temptation grew stronger).

therefore the moral of the story is: We must guard against Satan all the time... especially when we are at the peak of our success.

anyway, after that, we continued on the main topic and discussed the motive and purpose of Satan tempting our Lord Jesus.... and also in what situations and circumstances men are more easily tempted. well, after another round of 30-min long discussion, we came out with these few points:

*motive and purpose of Satan tempting our Lord Jesus...
-Challenging God's Word and wanted Jesus to prove it (which btw should not be tested, but to accept... i know it sounds kind of barbaric, but His word is the truth! so accept the truth people...)
-To confuse Jesus through the using of God's word, which is wrongly quoted by Satan, in the 2nd temptation.
-Intended to use the riches of the world to make Him fall since Jesus is now in the form of flesh... so He is subjected to all the weakness of the flesh.
-Wanted Jesus to forget that He is the Son of God.

*situations/circumstances where people are more easily tempted...
-more involved about the things of the world
-women and money (for brothers)
-television programmes, computer games
-Friends & classmates
-Bad mood
-Busy... which lead to tiredness
-the Internet

haha... guess i shall stop here now... need to go do my tutorials liao... shall blog about the interesting things that happened in Sarah's house (which happened after youth meeting) some other time... at least after Siswand send me the photos...

oh and i just found out from xiaowen that my angel is a guy... haha... what a insensitive guy :( don't you know that your lovely seniors want to write letters to know you more... but maybe you have your reasons la... see what u have during your next letter then... ;)

oh speaking about despo... ppl complain that i too despo liaoz... sigh... not that i want to make my cca or myself despo one... but there is seriously too little people joining Infocomm le... I rather have more guys than lesser people in the club la... and then with lesser chance of doing live ads, how to let our juniors know more about the club la... so forgive me for being so despo cos i am seriously worried for the club... hope that the 2nd intake got more ppl joining ba.

ha, today's YYP meeting is on temptation... 2nd week into it...
and sadly, today my group was back to the sheer number of people again... with an attendance of around 10 people :(
nevertheless, i had one of my most enjoyable meetings so far...

anyway, the meeting started off with bro. wicky introducing about what temptation is... in the old testament, 'tempt' meant 'test'. But in the new testament, 'tempt' means to entice and to try to make you do things that will result in sin.

Later that, he told us how temptation works, namely, the setup to start tempting you, the trigger which will cause you to be in the dilemma, our response to the situation, and lastly the outcome of our acts. At times, the setup may not be there to try to tempt you but the devil and our desires will make use of such situation to make you fall into temptation and causes you to sin!! Thus, we need to overcome temptation by His Grace and mercy. Only through then, can we know what is right and wrong so that we will not be easily given to temptation, but to be an overcomer :)

Afterwards, he sort of ended off by showing us a list that shows what are the top 11 temptations that we all face... with $$ being the no. 1... and surprisingly, woman dressing scantily was ranked 3rd... WOW!

After all the introduction stuff to the topic, we then break into groups to discuss the temptations that we face in our daily living, and to clear any doubts we have with regards to the topic. haha... and oh, while we were halfway through talking about the temptations faced by bible characters, all of a sudden, bro. peh khian cracked a seemingly funny joke about portifar's (or sth like that) wife without any 'warning'... " Does portifar's wife looks like a pot?" LOL. it took us a while before we realise it la... so ????? haha... but it was damn funny after that... so lol lar... haha....

anyway, back to the main theme... well, through this 1 hour plus of sharings, I have enjoyed the fact that we and Eve are easily ensnared by temptation is because of the lust of the eyes, lust of the flesh and the pride of life... never kinda knew that it was catergorised into these 3 sections. Also, I have enjoyed the part that although we may be tempted by our closest kin and at times disobeying them to do the right things, which made us 'sin' against our parents, as long as we know that we should do things that pleases God, it is ok if we disobeying them... providing that we are doing things for the sake of God.

oops... time's rather late... gtg now... and that reminds me that i have an assignment from bro. peh khian to answer why Joseph can overcome the temptation of woman but David cannot? till then... see you soon again :)

yay... i have finally finished writing my report today!! phew... you know for the past week, i have been slogging for all of my days of the week to get the report done. well, although i have 2 weeks to complete the report, the first week was being burned out by orientation, which practically leaves me only one week to do! Not only that, there was sea regatta and suntec mass dance on monday... which kind of KOed me... leaving me to stay up as late as 3am to rush for the report for the next few nights. Then in the end, i was so tried until i ponned morning lessons and came to school so freaking late la... so ashamed of myself sia....

To make things worse, I had accidently forgotten to go for 3rd period PE to rush out the report on thursday; and this morning, i was suppose to screen the video for the roving dv to garner the support of my fellow victorians to vote for my piece as it had went into top 5 :) [i guess this is the only positive thing that had happened in the week] but but but... when we were setting up terrence's laptop to screen the thing, his laptop suddenly went haywire and no sound could be produced... amidst all the confusion and stuff, we have decided to call it off and have it played on another day... sigh...

i feel so lousy about myself la... this week just doesn't seem to go right for me... why? why?... sigh.... guess i have been too exhausted from all of my work until i wanna go crazy alr...
well, what to do? guess i just have to hope that the week to come will be a better one for me... God, please make me feel better.... both physically, mentally and spiritually... Amen.

haha... yoz ppl, it's me blogging again... muahahaha....

for the past one week, it has been a fun and eventful week... with O1 going on successfully... and we the ogls having lots of fun with the juniors :) really glad that i have became an ogl :DD

well to summarise what had happened for the past one week (i try to be as brief as possible... :P)

WEDNESDAY: first day of orientation... the only time when i went for ogl briefing... got to know how my freshmen looked like. Although the going was rather tough the first day because the juniors were not very open to the vj culture, nevertheless they were still rather sporting in playing the games and doing the cheers. Presenting Ayden Ajisen: Jui May, Fiona, Mae Chyi, Jaslyn, Yuanyuan, Kai Li, Xiaoxian, Tina, Wee Ho, Warran, Christoper, Linsen, and Jun Jin (a.k.a JJ)

THURSDAY: day 2 of orientation. Chemistry R-paper. felt that the paper was ok for me, should do fine though i doubt it will be any very good grades. The juniors became more active as they got to know each other better. Had our og dinner at parkway yoshinoya... actually almost the whole of Ayden went there to eat except for bird's group. We then went up to the enterance of the parkway parade office 'tower' to do our cheers and mass dance silently until the security guard came to chase us away. We did the 'wa' cheer in front of another OG group and subsequently went to buy bubble tea before a group of us went to the playground while others, including me, went home to rest (we wanted to eat ice-cream one... then later shu xie wanted to drink bubble tea so every1 went drinking bubble tea instead).

FRIDAY: 3rd and last day of orientation... time flies so fast sia... :( anyway, got to finally meet 07s32 alr... yay. but quite sad sia, our junior class got less people then us. haha... i got to impose as a freshmen, called mavis cos she wasnt present the other day, with my very very long ahs skirt... how i miss my sec school uniform. (though i felt that i could do better for my acting cos i think it wasn't very convincing... almost said the wrong thing to jolie cos for a while i forgot that i was mavis) haha... also got the juniors to do the 'tradition' (a.k.a making them jump pass the whole of level 4 facing the classrooms' windows, doing the crab walk action...) i had to play along with them though... nevertheless, they were rather sporting... so good job to u all 07S32 :) Had also caron (as princess diana), vincent (as justin) and siswand (as the mugger xinmin boy) to impose as freshmen to scare our juniors... lollollollol.

anyway, after this was back to orientation with non-stop games and mass dances.

I loved the ending of Orientation 1... got to finally see the 'fruits of our labour'. seeing the juniors leading others in doing vj/crew cheers was really a heart-warming picture.... Though the circle game thingy made them looked super wierd though.. some of my friends had even commented that they looked scary. o_O

boy oh boy.... it was then that we the patriots ogls had came to know the super cool and funny cheer... the yup cheer... with hand signals of our handing mimicking the biting action... saying yup at the same time.

Then after the whole orientation had ended with a series of mass dances, thankyous, videos and sea regatta briefing, it's on to OG dinner again :) Had our dinner and my 1st visit at Thai Pan... really loved the butter squids... rocks my socks manz... although we/they pangseh the other Ayden OGs/us for Marina Square. Finally went to secret receipe for cheese cake while we did a Yo VJC cheer with another unknown OG group when we were at the opposite sides of the roads... cool manz... Finally i end off my day with taking a cab down to bedok interchange with wee ho and shu xie before taking a bus home to rest from the whole tiring 3 days of non-stop activities...

Haha... well i need to take my beauty sleep now bye for now :)

haha... so fast, 1 year had passed and we are on to 2007... weee..... well, i would like to wish everyone a HAPPY NEW YEAR!!!

well... for the past few days of last year, i have been rather busy with my research report and redoing one of my experiments because i have left some of the data out... but Thank God i manage to finish my experiments before 2007 :)

hmm... out in front of me are wonderful and exciting events that is going to happen to me for 2007... here's a brief summary on the things happening... :)

1. ORIENTATION 1... yipee... my first (and last) time being an OGL... 3 days of fun-filled days together with all of my juniors... can't wait for tmr to experience all of these things... :D (though i need to wake up very very early for briefing... sigh....)

2. CHEMISTRY R-PAPER. lol. i cant imagine i would list it under here... but anyway, hope that this paper will be over soon :) well... hope that i wouldn't fail this paper and break through the 'E' barrier if u know what i mean... haha.

3. SENIOR MEET JUNIOR... hmm... quite looking forward to knowing who's in 07S32 and play the angel-mortal game with them... haha... wonder if it would be as fun as last year's a not?

4. SSEF 2007. I dunno if i can make it to have my project displayed at science centre a not... but i do hope i can go there... afterall i worked so hard for on-off 6 months hoping that i can at least display my puny little project up there to tell people about my project. heehee...

5. JTS... haha.... it's time for revenge!! Muahahaha... I am feeling damn evil manz... hmm... hope that they will treat us to fish&co.? err... subsidise a little bit can alr... i dun mind paying a little for my dish cos it will be my first time there if they are bringing us there. woot.

6. RESULTS FOR ROVING DV AND SVA.... arrgh... my precious video works that i have spent a lot of time and effort doing it, ignoring all my parents critics and nagging... it better be worth my effort sia... haha...

hah... well that's about it i guess... i shall come post again if i have time... till then bye :D
