Yay! this is my 30th post for my blog alr... haha, dunno if it's good or bad...? but then again, i suppose it's something worth celebrating?
Today, as excepted... a full day... My whole class went to watch POTC3 but i didn't go... cos i couldn't find them and was slacking in school too long alr... so in the end when i called seela to ask where they were, they said they were on their way to vivo to watch POTC at 0930. Then i looked at my watch: 0910... sianz...
But i guess it's a blessing in disguise?? Cos I manage to go down to Toa Payoh Stadium to watch the basketball girls finals with rjc. I almost missed the bus down the stadium... guess i was pretty fortunate :)
To victorians who weren't there just now: you should have been there to feel the atmosphere sia... I mean it's cool! Everyone was so crazy and high la... At first i thought i would not have the stamina to cheer on for VJC for 1 hour plus... but but but... i did it... now that i think back, it's really quite impossible how i did it... perhaps it's really the Victorian Spirit that stirred me up :) [But then again, i think God played a more impt role :P]
anyway, when i first went in the court, i was like... my gosh! cos the no. of rj ppl supporting is like so so many as compared to vj ppl... i was like telling maziah that it is the result for having a full day off... sigh. However, that did not kept us down!! we started off with a super loud cheer (cant rmb alr, cos shouted too many of the cheers). Then to us, it seemed like we are cheering more loudly than rj's because we cant here them when we cheer... dunno if it's true... During the match, at every regular intervals, esp when rj is attacking, you will hear vj ppl screaming and cheering and shouting things like "Defend/Defence". Was super mad la... we even screamed to a point that my eardrums was momentarily destroyed by all the high decibels screams (part of it was contributed by me :x). It was so powerful and intensifying to a point when we were on a winning streak, at every 5 seconds' interval, a vj cheer will be shouted across the court. Oh and during after time, cos rj was leading vj by 8 points, i had decided to eat up all my green and other colours of M&Ms, leaving only the yellows, reds and orange ones. And i guess that worked?? lol... guess i m too superstitious...
The results: WE WON!!! 53-50. An exciting and tough and close match. One of the best games i had ever been to :D
With our morale boosted to the max, we took the charted bus and went to Jalan Besar 2 hours earlier to support the soccer girls in their finals against sajc. So early right?? Well i spent the 2 hours accompanying dish and wash to hawker centre to eat their LUNCH and watched the last part of the 3rd/4th placing match between tj and rj... rj won 1-0.
Then the game started.. not too long later, caron shidah nasrul zamir siswand taufiq (together with elliot but he went to sit with the sailors) came for match support... haha, finally my friends are here :) and according to nasrul, after watching POTC, the guys went to bookstores and walked around vivo while the girls went SHOPPING!! ok ok... enough of digressing. as i was saying, they came and sat with them as a class to cheer on the girls. but the atmosphere was rather different from the one for bball.. less enthu... then i cant scream for them cos they were no where near the area behind the white line and the net. And during half time, sajc scored a goal because vj's defender fell down while catching the ball that she missed, that's why the sa ppl get to score a goal into an empty net... somethign like vj's 4th goal in soccer boys finals last year...
And as concluded: we lost to sajc by the score of 1-0. Clinched a 2nd position.
Sigh... although this year's sports were not very good, still we will continue to love and respect them for all their efforts... Fight on vj fight on!!
ah, guess i m resting now... need to rest my throat after screaming and shouting for 1 whole day... till then... byeeeeeeeeeeee :D
