Shall share about what was being gone through for the last Saturday's Youth and Young People's Meeting. We kind of went on to a new topic... after 2 week, i think, of conducting ourselves as Singles...
We talked about how do we know we are ready to enter into a relationship/marriage and when can we go into one (if applicable).
Firstly, bro. Wicky started his sharing by showing photos of him and sis Helen (awww...lol.), and then a diagram of him classifying people into 6 broad categories on our readiness to enter into a relationship/marriage. In short, people who are ...
-Ready and are sure= Mature
-Ready and are not sure= Happy-go-lucky
-Not ready and are sure= Focus/Playboy(girl)
-Not ready and are not sure= Innocent/Honey bees (hb being the most pitiful because they go into a relationship just because others are in one...)
woah... i tell u... when i look at the diagram, i was like super confused... cos i dun even know which category i am in... i know for sure that i am not in the first... it feels as if i am jumping around between the other 3 categories... but with much further thinking, i think i am either innocent or a honey bee... (innocent would be better of course)
what do u all think?? haha.
Then later... many brothers went up to share about being mature in relationship... ie in order to get into one, we all must be mature in handling this relationship and bear responsibility for it...
But what touched me the most is the sharing by sis shufang... when she shared that everything is all planned by God alr... even when we are suppose to be in a relationship and get married. She then brought up verses from Ecclesiastes 3:1 and 11, which says that:
"To everything there is a season, A time for every purpose under heaven... He has made everything beautiful in its time. Also He has put eternity in their hearts, except that no one can find out the work that God does from beginning to end."
So... we should not worry and start thinking that when we should get into relationship or if we are able to find one... because God has alr planned out ALL for us... and will reveal to us when the time is ripe... So in the meantime, we should consecrate ourselves to the Lord, and not rush into relationships... because if suppose we are in a relationship at 18 and live till say 80 years old... we will be trapping ourselves in this 'whirlpool' of relationship for 62 yrs...
wow...
so while we are still young and single, we should focus our time into serving the Lord and pay close attention to our walk with Him... because it is the best time now to pursue Him and serve Him. Hallelujah!
Yeah Man... I Amen to whatever that was shared that day... was really a meaningful meeting... cos God had also speak to me during the meeting too :) hope that this pace could be kept up and my relation with God would improve :D
