Hello everybody... I'm back from Germany and Switzerland already :))
(Actually it has been 6 days since i'm back :s)
Anyway, I had a lot of fun throughout the 18 days... Been to Germany's Tübingen, Reutlingen and ülm. Also in Switzerland, I got to walk around Zürich and Apenzeller.
But most importantly during this trip, I have gain much revelation from God through the going through of Psalms 120-134. These 15 psalms are grouped together, which are known as "Songs of Ascents", and they were being sung in the Old Testament when the Jews went up to Jerusalem 3 times each year to the temple of God. Every step that they moved upward to the temple, they would sing a psalm, starting from Psalm 120. So as you can see, in today's context, all these 15 psalms are meant to bring us higher and higher up to the throne of God, just as how it brought the Jews higher and higher up the temple of God in the past. Therefore, in our daily Christian living, not only must we go forward to preach the gospel and the Word of God to the world, we must also move upwards together as the Church to bring us closer and closer to God.
When Bro. John So was going through these 15 psalms, I sort of had some new light for these psalms (perhaps it's because i didn't paid much attention in the past to these psalms). In any case, I enjoyed the conference so much that I didn't fell asleep during all the meetings, which is a wow to me because I had a hard time keeping myself awake for Singapore's church conferences in the recent years :s
Ok so in summary, let me summarise and at the same time recap how to reach to the throne of God in 15 "steps".
Step
1 (Psalm 120): Calling out to the LORD in our distress and to deliver our souls from lying lips and deceitful tongue.

Step
5 (Psalm 124): Knowing that our help comes from the LORD through the many experiences with Him.
Step
6 (Psalm 125): Having our trust in the LORD to be like Mount Zion, which cannot be moved but abides forever.
Step
7 (Psalm 126): Rejoice when the captivity from Babylon (the world) returns to Zion (the Church), but at the same time we need to continue to pray with tears and sow seeds to those who remain in captivity and lost in Babylon.
Step
8 (Psalm 127): Knowing that the LORD is the one building His house and the Church will be blessed with lots of children/young people when HE builds the house.
Step
9 (Psalm 128): Fear the LORD and blessings will abound for us to enjoyBeing .
