Haha! I'm back again once more... Lol!
Anyway, I'm here to share a song that the tertiary group sisters from my church have composed when we were pursuing on the book of Habakkuk. The lyrics written were inspired from Habakkuk 3:17-19.
"Though the fig tree may not blossom, nor fruit be on the vines; though the labour of the olive may fail, and the fields yield no food; though the flock may be cut off from the fold, and there be no herd in the stalls- Yet I will rejoice in the LORD, I will joy in the God of my salvation. The LORD God is my strength; He will make my feet like deer's feet, and He will make me walk on my high hills. To the Chief Musician. With my stringed instruments."From this portion, I am really touched by the optimism of Habakkuk and how he embraced our dear LORD; although he knew that Judah will one day be invaded and be destroyed by the Babylonians. Even though the near future for Habakkuk looks real bleak, he still fully trusted in our LORD and rejoiced in Him because he really understands that his (and mine too!) LORD is his salvation and strength. On top of that, Habakkuk also understood that God is still in control and whatever He does, He does in His own timing according to His big plan which we as humans do not fully comprehend it because we are constrained by space and time.
Ok. Enough said. Here's the lyrics to the song:
Though many things, I may not understand.
What'er befall, I may not comprehend.
I may be weak, cannot reach my peak,
But I'll still rejoice in the Lord!
I will find joy in Him - LORD God of my salvation;
For the Lord, He is my strength.
I'll turn my heart back to Him and say,
I will still be hopeful in the LORD!
Though I am small on this terrestrial ball,
Sin and guilt have many souls made frail;
Trials, temptations caused many hearts to fail,
But I'll still return to the LORD!
I will find joy in Him - LORD God of my salvation;
For the Lord, He is my strength.
I'll turn my heart back to Him and say,
I will still be hopeful in the LORD!Praise the Lord for such a nice song :P The tune to the song is in my playlist. Feel free to listen it more often. Also many thanks to brother bok woon who had helped to record this song :)
