Well, a while ago I was in Home 2 attending the home meeting. Then we fellowshipped on Hebrews chapter 1... because for the next few Lord's Table Meeting, we are going to pursue and have fellowship on the book of Hebrews... Then while we were reading through chapter 1 and late cross reference to chapter 2... We realise that in the beginning when our Lord's salvation was still not available to us, our position before God was lower than the angels... But after we received the Lord, praise the Lord that our standings are now higher than the angels, since in Hebrews 1:14, it mentioned that the angels are ministers serving those who inherit salvation. How wonderful it is that our status have changed before and after we have received salvation from the Lord... This is great!! Loben den HERRN!
But anyway... not much of my main point though... although it's equally important. STILL while the brothers were trying to explain certain things using Hebrews chapter 11 about the 'heros of faith' and as I read on the chapter quickly, this verse caught my eye:
Hebrews 11:6
But without faith it is impossible to please Him, for he who comes to God must believe that He is, and that He is a rewarder of those who diligently seek Him.And while I was reading this verse, another verse came into my mind, which was my memory verse last thursday during NTU's campus pursue... John 14:12
"Most assuredly I say to you, he who believes in me, the works that I do he will do also; and greater works than these he will do, because I go to My Father."So in conclusion... In order to do greater works in God that glorify the Father through our Lord Jesus Christ, we need to believe in Him... that He is our God... and have faith in Him too... that we can please Him and trust that He rewards those who DILIGENTLY seek Him...
Oh Lord Jesus, cause your saints to have more faith and to believe in You Lord... that You are the One who can help us do the works that You do... and even greater ones... And I also thank You Lord that we can please You by having faith in You and that You will reward us if we diligently seek you... So teach dear Lord in our daily living to seek You and to grow more in faith and to believe more in You. Amen.
