Haha, I've kind of realised that I haven't been posting any blog post recently.. So i shall start of this new year with this post :)
Well, I shall share about what I've enjoyed during the year end conference last year from 6-9 Dec. The theme of this conference was the building up of the Church of God. In the conference, we were talking about who are the builder(s), how to gather the materials for the building, the conditions needed for the building of the Church and the manifestation of the Church.
We saw that the ultimate builder is the Triune God, the prophets and apostles, and now the saints, are the secondary builders. So now we are building upon what the patriarchs and the brethren before us have builded. As for the materials, we are the materials for God's Church, His desired dwelling place. We are the living stones for His house and as living stones we need to offer up gold (symbolises God's nature), silver (symbolises Christ's redemption for us) and precious stones (symbolises Holy Spirit's transformation work in us). We need to be moulded according to God's image in order for us to become suitable materials for His house. Therefore the most important thing in order for us to build up His Church is that everyone must be willing to take up the responsibility to do his/her part and to keep the oneness of the Church. The Church must manifest God's Glory and His attributes - One Church in one locality.
For me, I enjoyed the point that we need to be filled with the Holy Spirit and build up a close relationship with God in order to build His Church according to His plan. It is something that I need to learn to do each day so that I can be one of the faithful men/women that can be entrusted to do God's work. It also exposes my condition now before the Lord - how I've always slacken before God in the matter of reading the Bible and have fellowship with Him through prayers (it's like talking to God :D)... haha no wonder I've not been able to have enough faith in Him to do His work and to grow more in Him...
Dear Lord Jesus, save me from my current condition now and cause me to be a useful vessel for Your work... that everyday in my living I may be able to glorify you and contribute more to the building up of Your Church. Lead me and guide me each day to grow more in You... Let me not be the one who destroy what you've bulit but be a good and faithful servant that can help build the Church. You've said that You will build Your Church and I believe that it will be builded because You are ultimately the One who builds it... So let me have faith and trust in You that no matter what happens in my life, let it be all for Your building... Amen.
Haha ok, that's my sharings in a nutshell :P And well, I was quite disappointed with my results last semester... Did quite badly in my opinion... But well at least it kind of jolt me and cause me to reflect upon how I've been doing all these while... I've not been working as hard as I ought to and well, I shall work harder in the future semesters to pull my grade up to a 2nd upper... It's a must :P haha... But of course, meeting times must not be compromised :P
Hmm, it's getting late now.. Need to rest and do other stuff already... Shal post some other time when I am more free... Till then enjoy the music that's embedded in the blog.. I like how the song portrayed the fact that we must surrender our all to the Lord for His work to be done on Earth :)
